LiveMath Maker for Windows

Below is a brief pictorial on what to expect as you download products form this site.

Step 0

To begin the downloading process, you'll need to fill out the appropriate form. To engage the webinstaller, fill out the form on the main download page and click the START DOWNLOAD button.

Double check that you have filled out each textbox and made a selection in each popdown menu. All fields are required and the download system will return forms that it cannot understand.

You will get a new webpage with all of the installation instructions you see below. Before arriving at this page there are two items to be aware of...

To begin the installation, you will click this link.

HOWEVER, before you are able to click this link you will need to give permission to the installer to install on your computer. This permission is granted in a separate dialog box that will automatically appear on your screen.

To continue the installation process you must click Grant.

All of the instructions for operating the web installer are listed on this new page and you should read through them before clicking the "Install with One Click Here" link.

Step 1

When you see the image below, Click on the link.

Step 2

Installer Shield will then pop-up another security window.

Change the selection to "I understand the security risk and wish to continue" option and click Next. Wait until the download is complete. You can continue to work in your browser or in other applications while this portion happens. You will be alerted when it is done.

Step 3

A License Agreement will appear.
READ IT.

If you agree and wish to continue, click "Yes".
If you click "No," the installation will terminate.

Step 4

You will then be able to choose a folder to install LiveMath to. If you want it to create its own new folder, simply click "Next".

If you want to put it in another folder, click "Browse" and put it in the location you wish. Click "Next" when you are done.

Step 5

Choose a language.
LiveMath is available in several languages. Choose yours by clicking on the Check Box to its left.

Click "Next".

Step 6

You can now choose which components of LiveMath Maker to download.
For full installation, choose the uppermost check box. You may browse through the tree menu and unselect or select the components as you please.

Keep in mind that, unless you know the program very well, you probably want most or all of the Starter Library included in your download. It's the easiest way to utilize LiveMath Maker's fullest potential and do most of what you want to do.
The "e-Books" are other series of Shareware Notebooks created by LiveMath users. They come in quite handy, as well.

Step 7

You will then select a folder within your "Program Folder" to put LiveMath Icons into. If you want it to create its own new folder, simply click "Next".

If you want to put it in another folder, click "Browse" and put it in the location you wish. Click "Next" when you are done.

Step 8

Wait for LiveMath to finish the installation.

Step 9

When the Wizard is complete, you will see this screen.

Click on "Finish" to complete the process.

You will then find LiveMath Maker in the folders you selected and are ready to begin creating your own LiveMath.

Step 1

Begin the download process by filling out the form located at http://get.livemath.com. Double check that you have filled out each textbox and made a selction in each popdown menu. All fields are required and the download system will return forms that it cannot understand.

Step 2

When the file is completely downloaded, find the file "LMApp.exe" in the location you saved it to. The icon will look like one of the images below.

   

Double click the icon to begin the installation process.

Step 3

You will then see this screen while the Installer extracts the needed files.

Another screen with the LiveMath logo will pop up and dissapear while setup begins.

Step 4

You will then need to choose a language to run the installer in. This is just the installer language. You will have the opportunity to choose a different language for the program in a later step.

Choose the language from the drop down menu and click "OK".

Step 5

You will then need be presented with the License Agreement. Read it carefully. It contains vital information as to the terms under which LiveMath Maker is to be used. You must accept the agreement in order to install LiveMath Maker.

Click "Yes" to continue.

Step 6

You will then need to choose the folder you want to install LiveMath Maker into. By default, the installer will create a new folder in your "Program Files" folder called "LiveMath Maker". You may place it anywhere you want by clicking "Browse" and choosing a different location folder.

After you've chosen the location, Click "Next" to continue.

Step 7

You will then need to choose a language for LiveMath Maker to be installed in. This is the language the program will run in.

Choose the language by checking the box next to it, and click "OK".

Step 8

You may then select the components (notebook packages) of LiveMath that you wish to install to your hard drive. Boxes with check marks in them mean that the selected item will be installed. Empty boxes mean the selected component will NOT be installed. Smaller boxes with + marks in them mean that there are sub-components that may be selected individually within this item. Click on the + to see them.

Select whichever packages you wish to install and click "OK".

Step 9

You will then need to choose the folder you want to install LiveMath Maker ICONS into. By default, the installer will the folder in your "Program Files" folder called "LiveMath Maker" that it created earlier. You may place it anywhere you want by choosing a different location folder or entering a new one.

After you've chosen the location, Click "Next" to continue.

Step 10

The Installer will then install all of the selected components on to your hard drive. Depending on the speed of your machine, how much space you have, and which items you chose to install, this may take a little while. The status bar will keep you updated of the installer's progress.

Step 11

When the installer is done with its process, you will see the screen below.

Click "Finish" and you will then be able to begin creating LiveMath for yourself.
